Mar. 28th, 2021 05:22 amMy sweetie and I decided to go into the city for a while, even though we really didn't *need* to go anywhere. I needed something to break up the routine just a little, and something fun.
We went to a place that has all kinds of pet and equestrian food and equipment, and got a few things for the ponies and a bareback pad for use with River. It ended up being a pricey trip, but hopefully with payoffs in progress/enjoyment.
We came home early enough that it was still daylight, so I tried the halters on the ponies (they fit) and it looks like the surcingle will work too. We had time to let them all out into the bigger pasture for a while, and we chopped down some poplar saplings that were growing against the fence. Poplars are abundant here, and they sucker up from the roots so that one tree can quickly make a huge clone colony. You have to keep cutting down all the new growth every year.
Then we came inside and watched "Wildcard", a fairly typical Jason Statham movie. It was pretty good, if you like his movies.
