Today I am grateful for:

Not needing to go anywhere today, in this cold weather.

Making some phone calls to sisters, for the sake of keeping in touch. I'm not always sure that it's worth it, as it feels like my sisters are a little shocked that anyone bothers to call (they don't bother calling me), and they seem very disconnected to each other these days, but I feel like we should at least try.

Making delicious soup. I've been making lots of lentil soup lately, it's just so nice in this cold weather.

My sweetie is home for tonight, and he brought some groceries with him so that if I don't feel like going to town in the next few days, I don't have to.

He got the hot water line thawed out, so I could have a nice bath and do some dishes.

He also brought some fizzy peach "wine" for an early Valentine's Day toast.
