Today I am grateful for:

No rain today. We got lots of rain recently, a wonderful amount for putting out forest fires up North and getting all the crops growing well. Now, we could use a week or so of warm sunshine, to let people cut hay.

My sweetie is doing a great job of lining up contractors to do things for our house "switcheroo".

Also, for my sweetie's help with all things animal. He's helpful and supportive.

For getting River to finally load into the trailer. He really didn't want to go; apparently he super-bonded with my ladies at home. It was nerve-wracking, but I decided that lunging him would at least give him no reward for refusing to get into the trailer, and he finally relented.

Getting River back to the boarding barn, bringing him into the arena (he seemed to remember that and was comfortable there), and watching some kids do obstacles for awhile.

Talking to my eldest sister, who just got back from a trip to Germany. It's funny, mostly she talked about how annoying the airport was, and the complications of travel, and how hot it was. I don't even know what she saw or did, but I'll call her again soon, hopefully.

A nice time hand grazing the ponies and goats. The ponies seem to have figured out that getting caught and putting halters on just means getting to go and eat grass, and the last few nights they came right up to be caught. A great difference from when we got them. The little guy (Dandy) especially seems happy to be captured so he can go eat. Both of them were much better with their feet, too.

Our new to us house arrived today. It was pretty impressive, seeing it on a trailer, coming down the driveway.

The crew did an amazing job, and we didn't lose any fences or anything, and they didn't tear up the yard too much.

The house has some minor cracking in the walls (totally expected), and seems good otherwise. It's all leveled and supported on blocks, and we can begin the process of getting it ready to live in while we empty and tear down the trailer, and build the basement.

It was pretty surreal walking around in it, because it's on our property now. The view out the windows is our yard, not the yard where we first walked around on it. It also has two stories, and is up pretty high because it's on blocks, so out the second story windows you can see our whole place. Our trailer is only one story, so you don't get a view like that.

Anyhow, it's all feeling more real now.
