Today I am grateful for:

Getting ever more stuff out of our trailer, and either into the farm house or into the sea can for storage.

Getting everything set up so that we can sleep in the farm house now, and cook in it, and bathe in it. We are now living here, and whatever is left in the trailer is mostly bits.

Getting some mowing done.

That my body is feeling better today.

The cats are now in the new farm house as well.

For being able to watch purple martins swoop back and forth over our yard, as they eat mosquitoes.

Ricky Martin's House.

I often find that "celebrity houses" are so boring. They look like every shred of anything personal has been stripped away, so that the house is lovely, but in a boring, architectural digest kind of way. Lovely but impersonal.

I stumbled across Ricky Martin's house, and yes, it's modern and not incredibly personal in style, but somehow it's so warm, functional looking, and FUN! I think his place would actually get lived in, and be a nice place to hang out. Not stuffy, not so precious that you're afraid to touch anything. It's like a big playhouse, almost.

Also, he seems like just the sweetest guy. I personally envy anyone who can come across as being so playful and care free as this. I think I am often just an overly serious, not fun person any more, and I know I'm not all that fun to be around these days. I am really drawn to the energy of this house, and of Ricky himself. I miss fun.
