Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine.

My sweetie and two of his friends did a mighty big push on taking down the siding from the trailer, pulling out insulation from the walls, and pulling the gigantic deck out of the way so that we can take the roof off (maybe tomorrow?). We are so fortunate to be friends with people with the equipment and the skill to do this kind of work, because renting it would add a lot to our expenses.

I got every last thing out of the house today. It was only a small pile, but because they were oddball things that were not easy to figure out what to do with them, this is why there were still sitting there at the end. Anyhow, I don't have to worry anymore about things left in the trailer as it is being torn down.

That we are able to get pizza at a small diner in the town nearby. It is the only place to get food at all for about a half hour radius. I got pizza for the guys, and it doesn't fit with my eating plan, so I didn't have any. I really didn't know I was going to be feeding helpers today, so I'm glad it worked out.

For getting some mowing done. Normally the grass has slowed down by now, but this year the grass still seems to be growing quickly, probably because we've had so much rain.

The cats seem to be finding their new favorite spots in the house. Right now, our bed has a window right at the head of it, and it faces South (I have no problem sleeping in sunlight). The cats can literally sit on the sill, and still be half on the pillows. They love sleeping on the bed in the sunlight.

That this farm house feels so familiar already. It sort of reminds us of the house we lived in when we were in Wyoming, they were both built around 1920-30, and lots of wood, and old doors and windows, but were both in good shape.
