Today I am grateful for:

Decent weather, and some really gorgeous sunshine in the afternoon, that gave me hope for spring soon (not to mention that River was shedding a bit when I saw him yesterday. He's an early shedder, but that's the earliest sign of spring).

Getting to town to get dog food, the mail, a salt block, and some restrained shopping at Micheal's. I am trying to make use of their frequent sales. Each week they offer something like 45% off of one full priced item. I've been doing a lot of art recently, which translates into wanting to try new products, or to get a specific but expensive brush or paper. So, if I show some restraint and try to go in for ONE MAIN THING, you can save a lot of money on those expensive things. I used that sale to buy a tube of fancy watercolor paint. I'm trying not to buy too many other things.

My sweetie got today off. It's not enough time for him to come home, but it's a much needed rest day after two solid weeks of 12 hour days. He and his room mates went to the art district on Granville island, which is right near where they are working in Burnaby, B.C. There was some kind of arts and crafts expo going on, and I would have DEARLY loved to have gone. He did get me something, so I'm excited about that. I'm just happy he got some time off.
