Mar. 2nd, 2020 06:17 amI was able to drive to the barn to ride. The highway was clear after yesterday's dump of snow (snow plow had already been at work), but our gravel roads were pretty bad with drifts. I made it, though!
River was good. I was angry and distracted because there was more drama, because I was coaching a kid who was jumping with her horse's head bent to one side. I was really worried that she was literally going to make her horse fall on landing, because she was so crooked. So, like an idiot, I tried to coach her, and so on and so forth, and another stupid day of drama ensued. Why, oh why, can I not just look away from riders who are endangering their lives?
My husband, who spent a lot of time talking to me on the phone tonight, because he wanted me to feel better.
That I found the inner reserve to paint tonight. That went rather well, so I have something that felt worthwhile about today.
Saturday:
Today was a snow storm-stay home day, but I managed to be productive.
My sweetie got his one day off at work today. Not enough to come home, but a break for him. A good friend of ours who lives not far from where my husband is working was able to spend the day with him. It's been about ten years since they've seen each other. It sounds like they had fun.
I dug some of my weights out of the storage sea can in our yard, and did my workout at home. I had been planning to go to the gym, but with the storm it didn't seem worth the risk.
I also picked up some things around the house, and vacuumed our rugs and the bare floors, and changed the cat litter and cleaned the floor in their little room.
More painting that turned out well.
