Today I am grateful for:

Continued hot, dry weather.

My sweetie kept working on the addition; together we put up the boards that will support the floor of the second story.

I'm very grateful that things have started moving on the house stuff. I feel a lot more positive about things when you can see progress being made. We have such short summers here that things have to really happen fast, or you miss your chance to get anything done. It rained pretty much right up until partway through July, and that was horrible; there is always a very real chance that you'll miss your window for construction waiting that late. It can start freezing up in October around here.

I checked on River, and his breathing seemed better today. I didn't ride because it's pretty hot, so I took him out and let him graze for awhile.

Watched "The Nightingale" which was a powerful movie, but pretty grim.
