Today I am grateful for:

Everyone here wishing me well on my birthday yesterday. This is such a wonderful, positive group of people here. We may not be a big group, but we are DAMN FINE!

My sweetie was able to borrow a small bulldozer (isn't that something, to be able to borrow a bulldozer?) and did even more work on leveling the dirt where the giant pile was. It's a funny thing, how many times we've leveled the dirt the last couple of weeks, and by so many different pieces of equipment. Back and forth, back and forth, "all done". Different machine: back and forth, back and forth....etc. Not really sure what to believe when someone says it's done anymore. Done seems to be a transient term.

The opportunity to see another barn, and I suppose at least have a reference point for what's out there. It was not inspiring.

River's new blanket fit, as did my new pants.

Today I am grateful for:

Another nice day weather-wise. The trees are turning color now, and losing leaves.

I went to clean for the family today, and my main focus was taking down decor items from the top of the kitchen cupboards, cleaning them off, and then cleaning the tops of the cupboards. It hadn't been done in something like ten years according to G (the home owner/father). It was quite a task, but it feels good to do something useful for someone, and to get paid for it.

They seemed pretty happy with the results. I'm sure for them it feels like they are making good headway on getting a handle on their home.

Coming home and kind of having a nap. I didn't really sleep, but I rested.
