Today I am grateful for:

More beautiful weather for this time of year.

My sweetie and I going to town to recycle. We have a storage area for our recycling, and every few months we take one big load in to the depot. Our dump no longer has recycling bins, so we have to go to town now.

We took our bottles/cans/deposit containers (we get money back for returning these items) in as well, and this depot has an account with the local cat shelter, meaning you can donate the proceeds from your bottles to the shelter. So, we did that.

My sweetie got some groceries (I stayed in the vehicle).

Some texts from my Trainwreck sister. She's having issues with her phone (no volume).

We went to see River, and I had a good ride. He was a bit jumpy because there was a lot of wind, but he behaved pretty well. He felt nice and forward, and we did a really good canter.

The owner's husband chatted with us for awhile from a distance. We gave him some cookies from what my sweetie baked last night. He gave us kind of an unexpectedly heartfelt little pep talk about staying positive in the new year.

We came home and watched "Timewatch" based on a book by Michael Crichton. It was pretty good.
