Today I am grateful for:

Getting a few necessary things done in town. I'm glad we did, because everything felt rushed, and I felt like my Sweetie was kind of doing his thing again of coming home on his days off and throwing me off balance. Not on purpose, but I have a lot more control over my days when it's just me, and it's a real change in gears when he's home and wants to lead the day. It's tough, because there are things I need to be doing, and he's not really in sync with those things, and isn't always good at trying to co-ordinate with me. He'd almost rather just go off on his own and do things, but I wanted to go to town too, and I had things I wanted to do.

This made the day one of those days where everything felt a little harder than it really needed to be, and very disorganized.

We did get the mail, and pay the bills, so good. We did get cat food. He did manage to get his hair cut (surprisingly complex task for various reasons, one of which is that my sweetie will only go to ONE BARBER). I did manage to get to Micheal's for art supplies.

We did get back in time to make it to my riding time.

I had a good ride on River. He was a bit distracted during the groundwork, but he was mentally present after a bit of work, and was good for riding.

I talked to the barn owner R for a while, and that was nice.

A friend of mine from the former barn where I used to board, is adopting a draft horse from a rescue group. This is a horse that I had "shared" on Facebook, so it's really cool that I helped him get a new home! I'm hoping I'll get to go to her place and meet him once he's brought home.

We watched a fairly bad movie..."Tone-deaf", but it was kind of darkly funny in a few places.

Thursday: We snowshoed around the yard and the horse pasture for a while. There was a lot of snow last night, so it's perfect.

I worked on a painting for quite a while.

We watched "The Nest", which was well-acted and sort of good in an "artful representation of a painful marriage" but it was a truly awful thing to watch if what you wanted was entertainment.
