Today I am grateful for:

Nicer weather than the last couple of days. No wind, sunny, just a little below freezing.

I cleaned for a woman for a while today. She had posted an ad on the local buy/sell page, and I messaged her. We both wore masks, and she mostly was doing some cleaning at a good distance from me the whole time. Her house is pretty tidy, and she even has a regular cleaner, but I don't know if she's getting what she needs from that person. She wanted me to take care of some extra cleaning that her cleaner doesn't do (I gently said her cleaner might do it if she asked), but...whatever. I cleaned out her cutlery drawer and washed everything and put it all back, cleaned her toaster oven, wiped down her laundry room and washed the floor, and wiped down the walls in her bathroom. None of it was particularly dirty, but I guess it's all in your perception. I did see some things that were quite dusty that a regular cleaner probably would have taken care of.

This person expressed an interest in maybe doing some clean-up in her yard, so we looked around and threw some ideas out there. She has a few piles of old scrap lumber, and just some odds and ends of stuff outside. She said her boyfriend keeps saying he's going to burn it, but he never gets around to it. I said I would be totally able to load it into the back of the truck and haul it to the burn pit. Same with misc. crap. etc. She seemed excited by the potential freedom of just paying someone a very reasonable rate to haul away all this crap, and I don't blame her. I know the feeling. So, maybe I'll go do some more work for her. We'll see.

Then I went to see River. The barn owner R was working with horses outside in the outdoor arena (most of the snow was gone) so I rode outside too. It was pretty relaxing to work outside with the sun going down, the geese calling, and the air smelling so nice. River was relaxed (nice, because sometimes he can be distracted outside), and it was nice to work where there was more room (the indoor arena is pretty small).

I came home and watched "Collateral Beauty" which was good.
