Today I am grateful for:

Decent weather the last few days. Cool, but livable.

My Trainwreck sister called. The man she's been caring for this last year or so died. He was dying of Cancer, and finally died in his own home. She was friends with him, more than just cleaning and shopping for him. She started working for him pretty much right after her partner died of Cancer, and I often wonder why she would put herself through this again.

She seems okay, but then also mentioned drinking herself to sleep, but I guess that's "okay" for this sister.

A good phone conversation with another sister, the one who has horses. We talked for a while, mostly about what I'm learning with River, and where a friend of hers could find a saddle for her hard to fit horse.

Going to see River. We worked on the outdoor obstacles again, and then I rode in the outdoor arena. It was a nice evening to ride. I was the only one out there tonight.

Saturday:

I found a sturdy yard wagon in the buy and sell, and decided to go get it. We have one like it, and my husband keeps stealing it for moving tools around, which is fine, except it was supposed to be for me to do yard work. So, when I saw this one, I figured if I got it, I could still have a wagon for gardening and let my sweetie have one for his tools.

It was on the cold and crappy side, so I didn't do anything extra outside. Sometimes it's nice just to have an evening off.

Friday:

I put in a couple of hours on the hedge, cutting out old limbs.

I worked with the ponies, leading them with the surcingle and the pole, and beside the cart.

My sweetie helped me measure them. I need specific measurements at certain points on their bodies for harness.
