Today I am grateful for:

While it was still plenty hot today, it was a few degrees cooler than the last couple of days.

This one dress I sold, I am SO glad it's finally gone. I liked it, but it was too big for me. I posted it on the buy and sell and I got a TON of people just one after another asking if it was available, but then saying it was too far to pick up could I deliver it (over an hour away!), or would I take e-transfer and hold until they could come for it. There was SO MUCH INTEREST in this dress (one of those rayon embroidered flowing dresses) that if I had been in the city I could have sold fifty of them. Of course, they usually sell for a lot more than my price.

I didn't want to e-transfer and then have them decide they didn't want to come...could I mail it or deliver it since they already paid, or meet them somewhere, or hang onto it for a month...etc. I just want cash and for them to pick it up.

Anyhow, a lady did come from the city (!!!) to get it. She was on time, uncomplicated, and polite.

I brought out some other clothes I had been thinking of moving along, and she bought a few things from that pile, and she thought it was nice that I worked a little harder to make the trip worth her time.

My sweetie and I spent some time hashing out the layout for the mud room, since we're at the point where we need to FOR SURE put the windows in the final place and look at where the electrical outlets and light fixtures etc. need to go. We actually came up with one or two things that we want (storage cupboards with drawers, not just doors and shelves, because it sucks to have to crouch down and dig into regular cupboards) and how to keep the room from feeling too full and cramped.

Then I went to see River. He had taken full advantage of not having a fly sheet on the last couple of days, and rolled in the dirt so that he was quite crusty again. That horse sure loves his dirt. I no sooner had him all tacked up when the sky got a little ugly and there was thunder. So, he got a break today.

The results for our online video submission for the obstacle class came in, and River and I won...we were also the only entry for the class, hahahaha! As it is, the barn owner says our score was pretty good. We might not have won if there were a normal class of entries, but it was a good improvement over our first attempt at showing this way doing obstacles.

I came home and we watched another fairly old movie: "Kinky Boots", which is another one I love. We have a lot of old movies, but to me if it's a good movie it doesn't matter. Most newer movies are just recycled from older ideas anyhow. Some are improved by CGI etc, some aren't.

Then I went through my clothes again, thinking of what else might need rehoming.
