Nov. 10th, 2021 12:25 amToday I am grateful for:
Not getting too bummed out by the overcast weather. It wasn't too cold yet, but grey days are hard to get excited about.
I talked to my sweetie about the vapor barrier, and he seems to think a guy at work who does insulation (which includes vapor barrier) would have an answer. I hope so.
I did my normal chores and such, but didn't know what else to do, so I painted.
I don't usually paint until it is fully night time, kind of a habit I guess. It would be good for me to paint earlier in the winter time if I have nothing else to do, so I did it and it worked fine.
I went to see River, and ended up talking quite a while with another rider as she was putting her horses away for the night. This is the same rider I usually see, since she comes in later too, after work. She has a lot of issues with her husband's parents, so we talked about that since it's common ground. I'm sorry this is happening with her, since she seems like a genuinely good person and very nice. She really does have an inner toughness though, that would resist anyone pushing her around. I think that this is likely the kind of thing that pushy parents dislike, because they would like to keep controlling their son/daughter after they leave home and a tough spouse means they don't get to do that. I told her that as long as she stayed true to herself and her husband, she was doing the right thing.
I had to shorten up my ride with River since I still need to be out of there by a certain time, but River was relaxed and focused, and what we did do was good work. I took some time tonight just to be with him in the arena without asking for anything, because far too often I only spend time with him when it's time to work.
