My at home mare, Wonder, had a very sore foot last night when I did chores, so today's vet exam shows it to be an abscess in her hoof. She's had this before, last one about a year and a half ago. So, the vet thinned the bottom of her hoof a bit where she showed the most pain so hopefully it will exit there. I soaked her foot in warm water and epsom salt for a while, then wrapped it and put a boot on her. She already seems more comfortable.
I did talk to my sister E for awhile, and that was nice.
I went to see River, and once again was happy with being able to ride so much earlier. There was a new young rider, her Mom, and her horse in the barn when I got there so we got to meet each other. Then I worked with River, and he did well today. I did cut it a tiny bit shorter than usual, partly because he was doing well so I didn't want to overdo the same things, and because it was pretty cold. Then I saw another rider as she was coming in for her lesson.
I came home, had supper, and kind of collapsed for a while. I haven't had enough sleep lately at night and I'm feeling it.
