It was only -5C today, which felt positively balmy.
I helped my sweetie move some sheets of drywall around, so he could get to the wall they were leaning against.
The drywall lift we bought from our friend (who doesn't need it anymore, their house is done) is really going to make life better, because he can work on the ceiling by himself. It holds a sheet in place for him. That was supposed to be my job, but you know what? I am not willing to hold up a sheet of drywall to the ceiling while standing on a ladder anymore. I have done it. We did a few sheets this way, and that's when I said we should just go get a lift.
I went to see River, and that was very nice. The warmer temperature made it much more enjoyable. I talked with R about her day (she also does dog grooming, and apparently had a doozy today), and she worked a horse while I worked with River.
I got a nice gift from R, two tags meant for putting on blankets with River's name on them. They're kind of like key chains. I had given her a tin of tasty (store bought) cookies.
River was great today. He was interested in being forward under saddle without being a dork. We did well with our groundwork, and he wasn't distracted about what might or might not be happening outside.
I came home, and my sweetie made some good progress on the drywall.
We watched another episode of "The Queen's Gambit", and really enjoyed it. Apparently this was a novel, so I would be very interested in that if I can find it. Novels always feel richer, since you get more information about what is inside the character's mind.
