Today I am grateful for:

Beautiful weather.

Getting to my adult nephew's home, and his wonderful wife. They hosted a family gathering that used to be at our family farm until our brother T's wife ended that 30 year tradition.

Life-affirming connection with many of the next generation, and their many children/babies.

There was food I could eat.

A wonderful addition to our family gathering is that my nephew's wife had HER family come too. They are lovely people.

I am so happy that we are finding a way to keep doing our gathering, and that it is the"kids" continuing it.

Then, driving on to my sister E's house, where I will spend a day or two.

Oh, that sounds so lovely! I'm delighted that you could post during the trip-- I always kind of worry when we don't hear from you for a bit while you're on the road. Take care and have fun!

Family reunions can be fun.

I'm too curmudgeonly to enjoy toddlers screeching and running amok, but I accept that time has passed and the next "wave" of kids has emerged. If we can have our turn at hosting in the summer, maybe in the garden, I think I'd really like that.

It's good there was enough for you to eat at your gathering.
