Today I am grateful for:

Lots of sun, though it was still pretty cold outside. We've been having some very cold nights for this time of year.

Going to ride River, and though it was kind of a write-off (he was really distracted because they got new hay bales today, which likely means he didn't have a lot to eat the day before, sigh.) it was still nice to get out of the house and do something. It also means being able to have some human contact, which I am short on most of the time.

Phone conversations with two of my sisters. Trainwreck sister is doing her best to raise funds by selling things, and I'm glad she's not holding a grudge about me speaking my mind about her getting a dog. She had family news; one of my nephews and his wife broke up. Not too tremendous a surprise, they were barely dating when she got pregnant and they tried to make a go of things. Also, his sister broke up with her boyfriend and moved to another town.

My husband has been showing my daily images of my ongoing artwork to a co-worker, and she really likes a lot of what I'm doing. When he was home yesterday, I gave him a few of my watercolors that his co-worker expressed an interest in, and she is going to buy them. I'm not sure what to charge, but it's nice that someone is interested. He said she was delighted with what I sent, so that's nice.

Saturday: My sweetie was home today (I picked him up from the airport last night).

He got to sleep in, and made pancakes for himself for breakfast, which is his favorite.

We cleaned up the animal bedding that I used to soak up the sewer water in the basement, and got it to the dump. We took some other household garbage too, and I took a massive pile of egg cartons I had been saving to the woman who works at the dump, for a friend of hers who sells eggs. I chatted with this woman for a little while; she has a miniature pig that had some babies just recently.

My sweetie also cleared the driveway, which is a relief. We just keep getting snow this year.

Then I took him back to the airport, which kinda sucks to only have a single day together after he's been gone for six weeks, and he could be away for another two or three weeks. I guess I have to be grateful he was able to get home at all, the way things have been going. It was nice to see him.
