Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine. The last two days have melted a lot of snow very quickly, which means it's running into creeks and filling the ditches instead of soaking into the ground. Good for filling lakes and marshes, but not the best for the fields. We'll see. It does finally feel like real spring now. We're seeing migrating hawks, the geese are back, we saw the first gopher, and lots of bare fields now.

Getting the rest of the shingles removed from the roof sections in the horse pasture and into the back of the truck.

A good ride on River. He was super calm and collected until we worked on the walk/canter transitions again, and then he fussed about having to do it, but he was okay. Really good trot.

Getting the dishes done when we got home, and my sweetie made hummus (we're trying to use up a ton of dried chickpeas, and maybe we'll keep doing this because it's cheap and then we don't have much packaging).
