Apr. 22nd, 2020 11:41 pmSunshine, and lovely warm temperatures.
The yard is already less under water than it was a week ago.
A good ride on River. I didn't have a lot of time today, but he was less worried about the walk/canter transitions. Our goal is to be able to go from a collected, forward walk to a canter, and back down to a collected walk without him just jigging around in a stiff trot instead of walking in a relaxed manner, and to not toss his head in the transitions. He also needs to be bent correctly so he picks up the correct lead in the canter.
Coming home and getting some supper made for my sweetie. I'm not really interested in the role of "wifey", and I prefer when we take turns cooking for each other, but I haven't cooked in a while.
The people who said they wanted our old clothes washer (we talked in the buy and sell via Facebook) actually showed up to come and get it! This is something like the third time someone has said they want our washer (it's free, ffs) and the other times they ended up backing out, rather than have to drive 20 minutes out of town to get it. This is one more thing that was taking up space in my sweetie's garage, and now he has a bit more room.
A nice walk around the horse pasture with my sweetie and Roxy. I have to say, Roxy has likely been having an amazing past couple of weeks, since the weather has gotten nicer. I've been home a lot and just puttering around the yard, so she gets to be outside for hours most days.
My sweetie may have figured out what's been going on with our septic system. Hopefully we can resolve this problem.
A nice bath.
Finding it hard to believe that for the past month, I literally haven't gone anywhere except the riding barn. Not to the grocery store, not out for supper, not out to pick up the mail, not to visit anyone. Just nowhere. I was even having a super sexy dream last night that I was at some beautiful museum something or rather wearing a gorgeous dress, watching this gloriously beautiful man perform some kind of interpretive electronic music, and our eyes met. As others were walking away he came over, and said in an alluring accent "you're sitting on a granola bar" (yup, I was), and then he made fart sounds in his armpit as he explained "this is how a rabbit farts, poot poot!" (my dreams are insane). I was still VERY attracted to him, and he was still staring deeply into my eyes, as he offered me a sip of his ice-cappuccino, and I pulled away in horror "COVID!!!". Stupid virus, wrecking my sexy dream.
