Today I am grateful for:

Warm enough weather consistently that today I took off River's blanket. I might put a sheet on him for awhile just to keep him clean. River seemed happy today, sleepy and relaxed. No riding, just there to visit.

Good socializing with others at the barn. Seeing my barn partner, who has been feeding River for me.

Getting some Spring Cleaning type things done today. My sweetie took down the Christmas lights (I know, I know). I washed a bunch of River's blankets in a big tub outside. We took the unburned wood back to the wood shed instead of having it take up space on the front steps. We moved some of the square hay bales to higher ground inside the barn, because sometimes it floods in the spring in one corner.

We burned a pile of the moldy black hay that came from the outside of the round bales. That's always kind of a Zen thing, because it smolders more than burns, and you have to keep tending it to keep it going.

Watching a funny DVD of "Shaun the Sheep", (from the makers of Wallace and Gromit).
