Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine and decent temperatures.

Getting a few things picked up outside and put away while I was doing my usual routine.

Buying a cute little table from someone on buy and sell, locally. It's going to need either refinishing or a fresh coat of paint, but it's solid and attractive.

Managing to make a nice meal for my sweetie's birthday. Nothing too fancy, but I cleaned off the table, used a cloth and napkins, made him brownies, and did my best to be "fancy". We bought two place settings of really nice cutlery a while ago, and we said these would be our special meal cutlery, so we used those. If nothing else, I think I managed to convey that I cared, tried to do something special, and so on.

He got a few phone calls from his family, and my Mom. My Mom really likes talking to him, I guess it's a different voice on the line.

I actually did quite a lot in the few hours before my sweetie got home from work. Some laundry, dishes, took out the recycling, chores, cooked supper.

Monday, April 27

We took a load of scrap metal to the dump. This included the two refrigerators that were sitting there all winter driving me crazy. A good feeling to get rid of those.

We saw our friend who is supposed to be hauling away some of the clay we have sitting in our yard. He was at the dump with a load of material from tearing down his house, which is good news for us. When his old house is torn down, he can come get any dirt we don't need to fill in the basement, and then he can get some of the other things sitting in our yard that he said he wanted.

Getting some laundry done.

Watching "Marauders" which was okay.
