May. 7th, 2020 03:31 amSunshine and warm temperatures. For the last two weeks, we've been hearing the frogs singing.
Getting the onions and garlic and peas planted. If we do get a few cold nights they can likely survive.
Getting a bit of work done filling in the trench over the sewer connection. My sweetie and I both shoveled for awhile.
I got the Mother's Day cards I made for both our Moms sent. They'll be late, but it's the thought that counts.
Washing the car (really just knocking the worst of the caked-on mud off; I don't bother with getting it perfect because I drive on gravel roads) at the car wash in town, and then cleaning the rubber floor mats, vacuuming it out at home, taking all the garbage out of it, etc. It's not THAT clean, but it's no longer disgusting. With all the mud in spring, it got pretty dirty, and it's been forever since I took all the crap out of it and either put it away or threw it out.
Talking with Mom today on the phone. She seemed okay, but bored, and likely kind of depressed about things. She'll be going to the hospital in the town where she lives, and continuing to work on mobility for now. That is not likely the outcome she was hoping for.
Seeing the fox this evening.
A nice walk around the horse pasture with Roxy and my sweetie.
Spending some time drawing.
