May. 10th, 2020 05:01 amSo many kitty snuggles. I am rarely recumbent without a sweet kitty keeping me company.
My sweetie came with me for my riding time.
A good ride on River. He stayed in collection well today at the trot, and did one especially good downward transition from canter to walk, with no drama.
My sweetie and I picked up a lot of old wood that we will not be reusing, and put it in the truck to go to the dump when we next get a chance, and cleared the other things off of the old deck so that we can use it as a deck again for a while in front of the house (the deck was torn down from the trailer, and is sitting on the lawn, and we can use it again to cover the bare clay for now).
I am especially happy about one noxious patch of scrap wood being gone from in front of the garage.
A nice walk around the horse pasture, even though it was cold today.
Friday:
We actually went to the city. Very strange though, so many businesses were not open, so few people walking around on what is the "cool indie business" street (normally it is THE place to be).
My sweetie donated blood today. I'm glad he was able to do this, I know Canadian Blood Services are really low right now.
We went for a nice walk on one of the trails by the creek.
I was able to get some art supplies by ordering ahead, and only going into the store to pay. That was so tough, not being allowed to browse. Also tough to have to know ahead of time exactly what you're getting.
Getting groceries, and that kind of made me freak out a bit because there seemed to be too many people in the store. I felt like it was too crowded considering we were all supposed to be trying to stay 6 feet apart. Isn't it awful, how being around people now just makes me freak out. For months now, I haven't been close to anyone but my sweetie, without freaking out. That internal alarm going off "they're too close!!".
I worry that as a society, we won't really recover from that feeling.
Watching "Did you hear about the Morgans?", which was pretty bad, but fun fluff.
