Today I am grateful for:

The rain, even though it turns part of our yard into a mud pit, and delays certain work on the house for now. I know the farmers need it, and nature needs it. I love the sound of rain on the steel roof of the barn when I do chores, and the way the colors of the grass and trees and everything seems deeper and saturated.

In a way, that my sweetie kind of gets to rest because we can't do much work with the rain.

We went to a nearby town that we really don't go to much, and picked up some DVDs from a lady selling them very cheap, and a roll of art paper from a different person. We made the trip worthwhile by getting groceries (a lot cheaper this time), picking up the mail, and grabbing a burrito (lots of precautions in place).

What caught my attention with these DVDs was that there were three seasons of Magnum P.I., a show I loved as a kid. We watched a bit of the first season tonight, and some of it was dated, and a bit cheesy, but then some of it was just as good as I remembered. I always loved the banter and interplay between Magnum and Higgins especially.

Feeling grateful today that my sweetie is still able to work, as much as I'm worried about his exposure. I never thought this isolation would go on so long, or that people would be unable to work for so long. I feel deeply for people being hit so hard financially right now, with no way out.

For being reasonably healthy.

For my sweet animals, and living where there is open spaces and trees.
