gottawonderSunshine. We need a week or two of sun just to dry things out a bit!
My sweetie added some dirt around the house where it had settled, and needed to be filled in. He also took our deposit containers to the depot for a refund.
I was pretty angry that our friend wasn't tearing the last of his house down today, until my sweetie found out that our friend was at work today. So, at least he had a good reason for not working on the tear-down.
In the last little while, our super-independent cat Jones has taken to sitting on my lap while I'm on the computer. It started with me leaving fun videos for cats on the screen for him to play with, and he started sitting on the desk in front of the monitor all the time. I kept moving him from the desk to my lap, where he could still watch the computer. Now he comes and sits on my lap, but doesn't always need to be looking at the screen. He often curls up and sleeps. This is quite a development, as Jones has typically been too busy and too independent to be interested in humans or cuddling with us. He usually cuddles with the other cats, not us.
A decent ride on River. I practiced what the "extra" riding coach said about his reluctance to ride past the stuff at the one end of the arena, and while you could tell he still wanted to react at the piles of stuff (where the barn owner piles up jumps and fake plants), I was able to get him to go past them and listen to me.
Coming home and going for a pasture walk with Roxy and my sweetie. With all this rain, the mosquitoes were insane.
Watching some more Game of Thrones.
Thursday: Having a lazy start to the day, as my sweetie is now on his days off. It was nice, but also I wanted to get something real done for work on the house.
He didn't do anything I would consider progress on the house, but at least he worked on getting a small deck ready to move against the house, since the other part of the deck we moved is working so well.
I got lots of weeds and grass pulled.
Finishing a painting and liking it.
