Today I am grateful for:

I slept in the basement again last night, and though it is a strange thing indeed, and not optimal at all, I did sleep okay, and suddenly I can stop feeling like a tired and angry toddler all the time.

I did a little legwork on my own, and found an architect technician who can do the drawing for our addition to satisfy the bank, and is willing to do such a small project (everyone we've talked to so far isn't interested in our tiny job). She won't be cheap, but if the guy at the co-op isn't going to work out, this is an option. My husband is trying to get someone to do this cheap or for free, but I'm starting to think that's unrealistic, because if someone is qualified to do architectural drawings, why would they do it for free? We are now officially running out of time for this summer to do any meaningful work on the house at all, and if we can't get the money from the bank, then we're going nowhere this year. My husband hasn't been treating this as a priority for whatever reason, and now I'm trying to do my own legwork and move things along. In about 15 minutes flat I found someone who could do the work and was willing.

That my sweetie could feed River for me today, thus saving me time so that I could go to town and run errands and get groceries.

I had a good day in town today, and I really needed it. The last time I went to town was over a week ago, and only to get groceries, and the same the week before that. Nothing enjoyable.

Today I did a bit of recreational shopping. The thrift store was open (masks required) and I found a brand new, good quality bed skirt in a neutral solid color! I have been trying to find a bed skirt FOREVER, since our other one was just finished (cats clawed it all up). Also got some art supplies.

I saw a person that I've chatted with a few times now at the thrift store. I'm not sure if you'd still say someone was a cross-dresser....? Anyhow, she was dressed really nicely today, all color-coordinated with heels and nail polish, and I felt it was important to tell her how good he looked today. We ended up talking about work (electrician) or lack thereof right now with COVID, and just stuff. I'm sure she hasn't had to many opportunities to wear heels with all the rain we've had. I always like chatting with this person, though I'm not always sure she remembers me from last time.

I pulled more grass and weeds out of the garden, trying to find the little plants huddled underneath the canopy.
