Aug. 21st, 2020 12:36 amMy sweetie said he got a good sleep. Sleep is starting to become a rare and precious commodity around here, what with him working nights, and it being disruptive for us both, then him reverting almost instantly to getting up early in the morning on his days off and again being disruptive (to me), and on and on.
We got some tarps over the frame of the addition and piles of lumber in anticipation of rain.
I had a good phone conversation with my Mom.
An okay ride on River. His breathing is still not great, but I don't know if there's any point in having a vet come out, because I KNOW it's the hay, and the hay isn't going away. If I can't talk to the barn owner about a solution, I will have to do something. I don't want to not be riding at the barn, maybe I can find another barn, but I kind of dread this, because every barn has issues. You have to find them yourself though, and it I wonder if any barn would actually be without serious drawbacks. Some of that is also affordability. If I was willing to pay twice as much or more, maybe I'd be happy, but we can't really afford that.
It did rain, and while I am kind of tired of rain after the spring we had, it's still a nice break from the heat.
Wednesday:
I went to town today, and I got a lot done.
I saw my doctor about a funny spot on my forehead, and he didn't think it was anything to worry about, but we nailed it with some liquid nitrogen anyhow just for peace of mind. It's a funny thing to just freeze burn a spot off of your face. It formed a blister, and it'll take a week or so to heal, and if there's anything weird, I'm to go back and we'll have another look. Hopefully the freezing is all I need to do.
I picked up cat and dog food, a prescription, and got groceries. I also went to the thrift store and found lots of good books this time (they've been quarantining donated items for 72+ hours before putting them out), got a few art supplies at another store, and found a really good pair of black flats that will go with almost anything.
