Today I am grateful for:

The gift of another trip around the sun under my belt.

My sweetie and I went into the city. My birthday present was a new winter blanket for River (have to make sure it fits) and a pair of winter riding pants (that also hopefully fit. The change rooms were closed due to Covid). I also got a long lead rope that is meant for training natural horsemanship stuff. Pretty great gifts.

We walked around for awhile on Whyte Ave, and it's a little sad because a lot of these cool little stores are closed now. Hopefully things will pick up again after all of this is over, if it ever is.

We went to one of our usual bookstores and traded in a few things, and got some credit towards two new to us books.

Then we ordered from our favorite vegan place, and it was still nice enough to eat outside in a little park down the street (they're only doing take out right now). While we were waiting for our food, we took a little stroll around a beautiful old neighborhood (near Glenora in Edmonton).

I got lots of birthday wishes on Facebook, and talked to my Mom.

All in all, it was a really lovely day.
