Oct. 12th, 2020 12:10 amContinuing minute progress on the roof. Mostly just helping my husband haul more shingles up (I was on the ground).
A quiet day of cleaning up the yard some more, walking around the horse pasture a bit, and a couple of phone calls to family since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but today is KIND OF Thanksgiving.
Making a nice supper and watching a new-ish movie called "The Rhythm Section". It has Blake Lively as a woman whose family was killed in a plane crash, and it turns out it was not an accident, though her family wasn't the target. What was a cliche is the whole "gets recruited to be an assassin for purposes of revenge, and ends up being manipulated by others for their own ends". That said, I liked it because she's not that slick, and it's kind of scary because she's not really in control of things the way some movies make it seem when you start on a rampage. It was certainly new ground for Blake Lively.
Saturday:
Our friends helped again with the roof, and we got soooo close to being done, but we ran out of shingles.
We had to spend some time cleaning up the yard and putting everything away, partly because winter is on it's way, and partly because there is a wind warning. My sweetie secured the unfinished edge of the shingles, and I put away anything loose in the yard that might blow away, such as plant pots, forks and shovels, random plastic wrappings from building materials, pails, etc.
