Today I am grateful for:

Going to see River, and riding in the small covered round pen/arena while the owner was working with one of her horses. This is the first time riding in the little arena, and it went well. River was pretty relaxed and while he's pretty out of shape and not collecting easily, he made a good effort and seemed happy to be working (he groans when he's warmed up and he's looser, that's how you know he's happy).

It was interesting to watch the owner work with her horse. She does liberty work with him, and she can get him to rear on command, and to lie down on command.

Mostly I enjoyed having somewhere to go to get me out of the house, to chat with someone, and to be engaged.

Coming home to a toasty warm house with all of my sweet animals, and curling up in my round chair to read.

Watching a couple of episodes of "Six Feet Under", and enjoying it.
