Today I am grateful for:

A short phone conversation with one of my sisters. She's doing well with her new horse.

Going to see River. I didn't ride today, but I lunged him, and a tried something new. I tried lunging him without a lunge line, and I didn't use the walls of the arena to keep him in a circle. I was able to get him to do a circle around me with mostly my body language and a lunge whip (not for beatings, to work as an extension of your arm).

I felt like we did some good things. River was listening, and not worried about where his herd might be (we were in there by ourselves).
