Today I am grateful for:

My sweetie and our friends continued to work on the addition. They were putting up sheeting on the open part of the upstairs addition.

My sweetie came with me today to go see River. The new halter fits, so that's good. I had a good ride, didn't feel too cold today, and enjoyed being around the barn owner, R.

I did talk to my Mom for a little while today. It gets really tough to be on the phone with her these days, because there's nothing coming back from her side. She's not really doing anything anymore, not even reading, and she's really vague if you ask her about what others in the family are doing. That kind of used to be her end of the conversation, was to respond to "so what is everyone else up to?". I don't know if that means that no one else is really talking to her anymore, or if she doesn't remember. So, I end up just telling her about what we've been doing, but saying "we've been working on the house a lot" or "River seems happy at the new place" is hard to expand into a conversation. I suspect she's just sitting in her chair all day, listening to music. I suppose that's normal enough at 90.

I'm grateful for my animals, and how nice kitty snuggles are. I really do love to curl up in my chair and have a kitty or two curl up with me.
