Today I am grateful for:

A warmer day, even if it was raining a bit.

Getting some things done in town with my sweetie. First we went to the dump, and I got to at least check in with the woman who works there (the one who had her house burned down a few months ago). She said she's doing okay, but that she still thinks about what happened to her every day.

Then my sweetie went to the farm supply store to pick up some bales of shavings that I use for bedding, and some lumber while I went to the thrift store. I found some gorgeous hard cover Reader's Digest classic novels, not condensed versions, just beautiful copies. It didn't even look like they'd been opened.

Then we got groceries, and it was nice that my sweetie was there, because he could shop for what he wanted for work, thus taking the pressure off of me to get it right.

Then we came home and just had a quiet evening. I read passages from the classic novels in funny accents.
