Cleaning for the family today. I met the eldest son, an adult, who works away from home like my husband does, and lives with his Dad whenever he's off for a while. He seems nice.
A good lesson today at the barn. More principles of liberty work. River is doing well with the type of leading and giving to pressure that we're working on. There was a lot of snow sliding off of the roof, and it was loud in the arena and unnerving, so we didn't do any riding, just ground work.
I have to say, the barn owner, R, is a very enthusiastic coach, and it's really positive to spend time in a lesson with her. She has a lot of energy.
Talking with R and another rider for a while after the lesson. We are all feeling worried and burnt out because of Covid and how odd life is for everyone right now. No one knows from one day to the next if their business/job will be affected by shut downs, and it feels like the threat of infection is everywhere.
Coming home and watching "Hunger Games: Catching Fire". This really is a well-written story, and they did a good job of translating it to film.
