Today I am grateful for:

A little warmer today, even though there has been a lot of wind, and a bit of snow.

For my sweetie helping me with chores a lot. It's been nice to have him working so that he is home at the end of each "day", and home for his days off.

So far, Fatty is doing well on the reduced steroid. I was giving it to him twice a day, and the vet said to give it once a day, and see how he does on that. We're trying to find the lowest effective dosage. Fatty has been on the once a day dosage for four or five days now, and seems comfortable, eating, etc.

We went to see River, and that was very relaxing. There was no rush, so I spent some time before riding just rubbing him down and doing a bit of massage (he's always a bit tight in places). We did ground work, and focused on trotting from a halt in hand, and he's doing better with that. I rode him for a while. His canter seemed a little out of whack, like he wasn't quite getting his hind end on line. Other than that, he did well. I was really pleased that even though there was some wind, and the tarp-like cover of the building was making some noise, he was not distracted at all.

We came home and had a quiet evening.

Saturday: We went to a little park we go to sometimes, it is a piece of land that was donated to the small town near us to be used as a camp ground and a place for the Scouts to train. It still has the tiny old house and some sheds that the people who owned it lived in. It is still just like a little farm yard, likely just the way they had it when they lived there. We had a good walk, and Roxy enjoyed herself.
