Today I am grateful for:

Lovely weather for March. The snow is melting a bit. Horses are shedding a bit.

Going to see River. We had a lesson tonight. R (barn owner) reviewed what we were working on, and felt like we're doing well with lateral bending and yielding hindquarters and the leading. We worked a bit on giving vertically at the poll (River's long-standing weak point).

Then I rode for awhile after the lesson with another rider. It was nice to be around someone. She made me laugh by saying that she imagines that if River talked, he would sound like Donkey from Shrek.

Coming home and having a quiet evening. I watched "Gloria Bell" which, although I suppose it has an "empowering" ending, is a brutally truthful movie. Don't watch if you're feeling fragile.
