Today I am grateful for:

More gorgeous weather for March. I'm enjoying just sitting outside with the animals, and not feeling the need to rush back into the house as soon as I'm done chores.

Going to see River. He was a little distracted at first, but was relaxed and focused once I was riding him. He was a lot softer on the bit than he usually is, and giving better. Maybe all the work on the ground getting him to give laterally and vertically with the halter is helping. I hope so. I think it's nicer for both of us if we can manage to be lighter on the bit.

I rode by myself tonight, and at one point it got quite zen-like, which is nice.

I did see the barn owner R when I first got to the barn, and we talked for a while.

A quiet evening at home. I watched "Runaway Jury", which is a pretty good movie. The ending made me sad though, because even though in the movie the gun manufacturers lost the case and had to pay the damages (the claimant was a widow whose husband was killed in a shooting), it doesn't happen that way in real life, does it. I was fascinated by the process of picking the jurors.
