Today I am grateful for:

I was able to finish my Mom's birthday card that I started last night. I am happy with it, and mailed it today.

We went into town for groceries, and I'm very grateful for groceries.

I had lots of interaction with people working in stores today, and there's something about making a connection with people and doing my best to find something to say, so that we don't forget that we are all people behind these masks. I made conversation with the teen boy working at the front of the store making sure everyone had masks, I complimented someone on her lovely cheetah print jacket, and the checkout person did some back stretches with me. I made conversation with the checkout person at Winner's, and the person at the front who was checking for masks and hand sanitizer.

I'm grateful for my sweetie's help with groceries. It's a surprisingly big job to get all the food for the next week, haul it all into the house, and put it all away.

We watched "Central Intelligence" which was a fun movie, and pretty entertaining.

The wind, which howled all day, finally died down at night.

Sunday:

That the weather held long enough for us to go see River. Later on it got very windy and it snowed. It was pretty ugly weather.

River was quite relaxed, and he behaved really well even though the wind was already picking up, and there was a bit of rain (later snow), and it was making a lot of noise against the skin of the roof for the arena.

My sweetie put up a square of plywood over a window opening on the unfinished addition.

We came home and watched "Bad Boys" with Will Smith and Martin Laurence, and it's funny how much that movie was very much of an era. It was good, though the roles for women were awful.

I worked on a card for my Mom's birthday. I got done everything but the lettering for the inside, which I just couldn't get right. I decided to work on it tomorrow.
