Today I am grateful for:

Gorgeous weather for this time of year.

Help with the animals from my sweetie.

Cleaning for the family again. It was a lot easier to do a nice job since I had cleaned for them last week as well. I appreciate that the kids (teens, young adult) are staying in their rooms while I'm working, because I do worry about Covid. I wear a mask.

Going to see River, and that was nice. His breathing was a little off, but there were lots of things that could be bugging him; it was really warm today and he still has about half of his winter coat, and the people right next to this facility were burning huge amounts of old wood in their yard, and the smoke was blowing right into where the horses are. I did groundwork with him, and rode him in the outdoor arena mostly at a walk so that I didn't stress him. He was relaxed and giving well to pressure. We then rode for a little while in the arena too, more just for the company of the other rider.

I came home and had a nice nap, and got some stellar snuggles from our super-loving kitty Celeste. She is a kitty we adopted about three years ago with Jones. Celeste was super shy and lived mostly under our bed for a week, then lived in the bedroom for about three months (though she already affectionate). Now she moves around the house confidently and is okay with the other cats and Roxy, and is SO affectionate. She will snuggle and cuddle for hours, making biscuits on you and writhing with pleasure when you pet her. She is delightful.
