Today I am grateful for:

Very nice weather today. Warm and sunny.

I got a little more done on the hedges. I worked on them for about an hour. I have a lot to do around the yard, but if I can put in an hour here, an hour there, I suppose eventually I'll get there.

My sweetie parked the truck in the corral I need to clean, so maybe when I have time I'll work on that.

I worked with both ponies. I was working on lunging them, which is an important step in eventually driving them, because lunging them gets them to move calmly away from pressure behind the drive line without me moving with them, which is a little different from being led. They may not have moved off of my pressure perfectly today, but they didn't panic which is great.

Then I went to see River. We worked on the obstacles outside, and he did a lot better at backing up through poles (in hand). We tried out the new boots, and those seemed to be okay. He's likely worn them before. He wasn't too weirded out by them. We did some groundwork in the arena, and then I rode him for a while outside since it was so nice out.

There were other people around, but we didn't talk much because they were in lessons.

I came home and had a quiet evening. I watched "The Giver" which is a little YA, but a good movie.
