Today I am grateful for:

Wow, has this month flown by! I guess it's all the yard work, and being outside.

An okay day. A little cool, but sunny.

A short but pleasant phone conversation with one of my sisters.

Going to see River. We worked on the outdoor obstacles, and he's doing well with those. Then we rode in the little arena with another person who was getting her lesson.

This other person went to buy a horse trailer a few days ago, and ended up with another horse. The man who owned the horse died in January, and his family weren't horse people. They asked this woman if she would take the horse for them, since they didn't know what to do with him. She pretty much couldn't leave him there, because the typical fate of older, not trained horses is to go to the auction for meat. So, she got a new horse. At least he is halter trained, and got in the trailer okay. She's going to try to work with him, and see if training him seems feasible. If nothing else, she seems prepared to look after him. Lucky horse.

I felt that River did well with carrying himself today.

It was nice to be around people. We were out in the open, and wore masks in the barn.

I came home and had a quiet evening. Watched an odd little movie. Made two simple necklaces that just involved putting beads on a cord. What's nice about doing them like that is that it is pretty easy to do something else with the beads later if I want to.
