Today I am grateful for:

The computer is working-ish. We're likely going to have to replace some parts, because the fans aren't working well, and the video card is likely kaput. I haven't been posting for a while because it's too much to do on the phone.

We also lost the internet connection for a couple of days from a storm, so the computer fails and the internet fails made it tough to post.

Anyhow, my husband is now using his banked time (what he gets instead of overtime) and he should be home for quite a stretch; maybe all summer.

We're not jumping straight into hard labor, because he's worked a LOT in the last couple of months, and is burnt right out. We do have the windows for the basement and the addition now, so when he's ready we'll start there.

Lately we've been trying to just catch up on things. We got the oil changed and summer tires put on my car and his car. We are fixing the tire for the lawn mower (the lawn really needs mowing now). We put up some electric fence to keep Wonder in a smaller space because she can't be on green grass much.

Today we went to town to get groceries, and get the mail.

I had to go to Walmart to return a hand held vacuum cleaner that I bought last week that turned out to be a USED one that a jerk managed to sneak by the people at customer service. That person likely bought it, put their used junk in the box, returned it for cash, and got to keep the new one and the cash. Somehow the item got put back on the shelf with no one ever checking the contents of the box. Anyhow, I'm really glad that Walmart allowed me to return it, and didn't think that I was trying to cheat them. I just exchanged it for another one that was a little more money and paid the difference.

I also got my first Covid shot today, and it was pretty painless. My arm is a little tender but so far that's all I've noticed for effects. I hope that's all.

A few days ago we had a big dump of heavy wet snow that was mostly gone the next day. Since then it's been mostly wet and rainy and the grass is really growing and all the trees are leafed out.

I've been trying to pull all the grass out of the garden. Every spring it encroaches and I go through it and try to pull it all. It's kind of ridiculous because everyone else just used Round up, but I don't want to use it if I can help it. It gets to be a ton of effort though.

My sister N is having a lot of health problems. She's the one who has a very bad knee that goes out on her. She should use a brace and a walker but doesn't. She fell the other day and hit her head, and had to get stitches and they were watching her for signs of a concussion.

I've been seeing River at the barn and working with him, but I've barely had any time at all to work with the ponies this week.

Anyhow, that's more or less what I've been doing since my last post.
