Today I am grateful for:

Sunny and MODERATE warmth. Very pleasant after the horrible heat of a few days ago.

My sweetie did wiring in the addition today.

I whacked some weeds where we need to start landscaping before my ride time, and tilled it a bit after riding.

We sold another item off of Buy and Sell.

I went to see River, and it was very nice to see him more comfortable in the cooler weather. His poor nose is a lot better, and so was his breathing.

R found another class that we could enter with a video entry; a riding class this time. Not really dressage, just a pattern. We didn't have a lesson tonight, but she was practicing the pattern with one of her horses, so River and I tried it a couple of times so we could learn it.

River picked up quickly that we were doing something formal and woke up a bit, and did some very nice trotting. You have to be careful with him that he doesn't try a little too hard; he quickly figures out a pattern and then starts to anticipate it, but that means he'll pick up the trot too early etc. You have to practice the ideas in the pattern without doing the whole pattern.
