Today I am grateful for:

The smoke was a little better today, though it was still really grey outside. It was only 13C today, and I'm not sure if that's because of the smoke blocking the sun, or what.

My sweetie and I worked on putting up one bigger piece of strapping on the East wall. We also worked on the future brick path. We set up the strings and pegs so we can keep track of the depth and grade.

I went to see River, and his breathing was pretty good considering how smoky it's been. R moved them out of the trees to a different pen because the trees are dripping sap, and the horses are all sticky.

River and I worked on loading in the trailer some more, and today he loaded with no issues, very calmly. This is a big deal. He has had a lot of drama surrounding the trailer before. I would really love for him to be able to load this calmly moving forward. Better for him, better for me.

We did our usual groundwork, and I rode for a while. His breathing was good during work with all this smoke, so I'm glad for that.

Then I came home and pulled weeds for a while, and let the animals out to graze.

Then we watched "Jurassic World".
