Today I am grateful for:

Beautiful weather. Warm and sunny. We had a bit of rain in the evening.

Our friends came over and we tackled the groundwork for the walkway on the other side of the house. SO, as it stands, we are at the stage where the walkways are all pegged out, level, and have a layer of gravel in them. We now need to go get a packer.

That I felt more comfortable with everything today. They didn't show up at 8 in the morning, leaving me to feel like I was lazy and uncommitted to my own project. They got here just after lunch, I got up so that I could be ready when they got here, and we all started together. This makes me feel like I am actually a PART of the work being done.

The wife I mentioned before didn't seem to be flirting with my husband today, which is nice.

The guy that this couple has been bringing with them (he wants to learn how to work on his own house, and he knows that if he helps us, we'll help him) seemed to loosen up today. He's been very quiet other times, but today he was joking around a little. I think he was just waiting to see if we were "joke" people.

The work on the path didn't take too long with that many people helping.

I picked raspberries, and got about 8 cups. We might make some jam (for my sweetie, really).

Then we watched "Queen and Slim"", which was good, but not a "fun" movie.

Saturday:

I went to see River, and that was nice. I spent some time with the new horse that came to the barn, just giving him some positive attention. He seems to be settling in okay. River got all washed off in the last rain, so he no longer has tree sap in his mane.

We worked on the pathway on the East side of the house, and it's to the point where we need to pack it down. Tomorrow our friends are coming and we'll work on the path on the West side.
