Today I am grateful for:

No active rainfall, though it was partly cloudy.

A good ride on River. There wasn't anyone else at the barn, so I rode alone. For safety I prefer riding with others, but the owner was in her house, and at least my husband knew I was riding. It's not my preference, but I don't know when others are going to be at the barn, except for lesson times. I don't know what else to do, it seems like people end up all gravitating towards the same riding times, because after 5 pm there's hardly ever anyone there. With my current sleep schedule, I can't get to the barn much earlier.

River has been better about going into the wash bay this summer, which is good, because it's been so wet that his legs are usually heavily crusted in mud up to his knees most of the time, and it's better for him if he gets cleaned off, even if it's just for a few hours.

Coming home and allowing myself just to sit down.
