Today I am grateful for:

A warm home, and no real push to go anywhere right now.

A short but okay phone conversation with Mom. I do still call her every couple of days, but I don't always mention it here. Our calls are pretty short, because there usually isn't much to talk about. Mom has never been the kind of person to talk about "ideas", so we've always talked about the weather, what we're doing, and news from other family. Right now, neither one of us is doing much, or visiting much, so we have some pretty short calls.

The barn owner R is doing everything she can for her horse, who is needing a lot of extra care right now.

Fatty ate really well today, and seems comfortable. He's not hiding so much, his eyes look better, and so far so good.

I spent some time trying to work out some beading patterns, and I don't know if I got anywhere with it, but at least I made some effort at something to keep my mind from turning to cheese.

Watching "Colette", which was really good. It seems like a kind of sanitized version of the life of the author Colette. It was lovely to look at, and well-acted.
