Today I am grateful for:

Warm temperatures, about 10C. The snow is melting.

For going to town so we could bike on the paved bike path. There is still snow, but the bike/walking path in town is clear.

It was hard to convince my husband we should go today. I thought it was a good plan, because we really didn't have that much to do today, but tomorrow we are planning to do a bunch of shopping for animal food, get groceries, and hopefully go see River at the barn. I thought it would be too rushed to try and fit biking in tomorrow. He really dragged his feet. We had talked about going biking last night, and I thought we had agreed that we would do so. Yet, he was awake hours before me, and didn't go outside and pull the bikes out of storage and check them over until I asked him to do so when I got up. He was just slow doing everything, and then when I asked him if he'd found my biking gloves, he said he didn't know where they were (they are stored in the exact same spot as the helmets, which he did find). We went back into the garage and looked again, and they were right where they should have been. I actually think he was hoping that if he just kept dragging his feet and making things difficult, that I would just cave in and say it was too hard to do today.

What is very odd about his behavior, is that he is always talking about going biking as soon as the weather allows (I thought today qualified), he's been riding his stationary bike a lot recently trying to prepare for biking season, and I really wanted him to have the chance to go for a bike ride because his needs always seem to get pushed aside for things like working on the house, and doing things for me and the animals.

I like bike riding too. I don't always have time to do it, because I have a lot of other commitments these days. I got a new bike two years ago, and didn't ride it more than once or twice the first summer because of all the work with the house, and last summer was rainy until June, and then we were working on the house and yard again. I've barely used this beautiful bike.

When we finally got there and just rode our bikes, he seemed happy to do so, and enjoyed the ride. I have no idea why he was being so weird about the whole thing. We went around the lake twice, and it was great. The paved trail was clear of ice or snow, it was a nice temperature outside, and it was a good ride for both of us.

We came home and had a quiet evening. We re-watched "Thor: Ragnarok", which is one of the best Marvel movies made so far.
